Las Vegas, Nevada · US
A night race run anti-clockwise along the Las Vegas Strip, with a long straight past the casinos where cars reach their highest speeds of the weekend.
The Las Vegas Strip Circuit runs at night through the middle of the city, using Las Vegas Boulevard itself as its defining straight. It is a low-downforce layout: long full-throttle sections separated by heavy braking zones, which makes slipstreaming and late lunges a feature rather than an accident.
The desert night is genuinely cold by Formula 1 standards, and track temperature is the weekend's recurring problem — getting tyres into their working range on a green, cold, dusty street surface shapes qualifying and the race alike.
