Las Vegas, Nevada · US
A mile-and-a-half oval in the desert north of the city, reprofiled with variable banking to widen the racing line.
Las Vegas Motor Speedway sits well north of the Strip and is a conventional intermediate oval in shape, but its variable banking gives drivers more than one usable line through the corners. Desert conditions dominate the weekend: track temperature swings sharply between sessions, and grip changes with it.
It is a separate venue entirely from the Formula 1 street circuit that runs through the city itself.
